Bannerfold A home for every world
See it work

An atlas for the worlds you create

Every world
needs a home.

Software built for LARP associations: memberships, event sign-ups, character builders, plots and your website, in one place.

See it work ↘

Different worlds. One foundation.

Built for the people who make worlds Association ↗ Events ↗ Game ↗ Website Built by a LARPer. For LARPers.

Your association's portal

Your name above the door. Not ours.

Bannerfold is not a site you send your members off to. It becomes your association's own portal, on your own address, under your own name and in your own world. Type your association's name to see yours.

Make it yours

Its world

Its colours

Or pick each banner's colour

Open the menu with the logo, top left, to see your banners unfurl. Whatever colours you pick, the banners stay dark enough to read.

  • Its own address, yourname.bannerfold.eu, or your own domain once its DNS points at us.
  • Your name in the menu and on every page, and the mail goes out under that name.
  • Your categories become the banners of the menu, each with its own backdrop image.
  • Your pages, built from sections, in Dutch and English.
  • Payments go straight into your association's own Mollie account.

Not another generic management tool

All the things your association actually is.

Bannerfold understands the difference between a game role and a volunteer role. Between a rulebook and a rules engine. Between a story document and a plot that knows which event it was played at.

What you get

Everything here runs in production today.

01 / People

Association

The board, the members and everything that has to outlast both.

  • Membership years and fees A fee per year, only sold once the general meeting has confirmed it. The secretary is reminded until next year’s fee is set.
  • Membership online Members buy their membership in the shop and receive their member roles the moment it is paid. Past years stay locked.
  • Roles and permissions Roles per context (website, community, events, game) with view, change, create and remove rights per item or per type.
  • Documents Public, members-only or limited to a role. Marked in-character or out-of-character, with download links that expire.
  • Runbooks Recurring tasks handed to roles, due relative to an event, the general meeting or the new year, with reminders and a timeline.
  • Privacy built in Every kind of mail has a legal basis, members can object to the mail they do not want, and removed accounts are anonymised.

02 / Gatherings

Events

From the first announcement to the points granted afterwards.

  • Calendar and sign-up windows Every event moves from announced, to open for sign-up, to running, to closed, on the dates you set.
  • Sign-up in steps Who is coming, which game role, which crew roles, which add-ons, your questions, then payment. For yourself or for someone else.
  • Capacity per role Each player or crew role has its own limit and its own discount. Sold-out shows live while people are signing up.
  • Waitlist First come, first served. A freed spot is offered to the next person for 72 hours.
  • Minors and guardians Guardians bring up to two minors with a parental declaration, roles can be closed to minors, and minor tickets can be capped.
  • Add-ons and questions Meals and extras with an order deadline. Answers export to CSV or PDF, and free-text answers are erased a week after the event.
  • Payments and refunds iDEAL through Mollie. Refunds follow your policy by weeks before the event, partial cancellation included. Chargebacks are handled.
  • Organiser dashboard Sign-ups by status, role spread, revenue and add-on totals, live. Approve one by one or in bulk.

03 / Worlds

Game

Your own rules, modelled once and used by every player.

  • Your own builders Skills, professions or a drone: model them as a graph of nodes with starting points, costs and prerequisites. Loops are refused.
  • Character builds Players build in the browser, every choice saves itself, and every version is kept.
  • Reviews Approve a build or send it back with notes. Unlock builds in bulk when a new season starts.
  • Secret skills Unlock a hidden node for one character with the reason on record. The player is told, and you can revoke it without breaking the build.
  • Builds meet events Players attach their build to their sign-up before a deadline you set. After the event, one action grants every player their points.
  • Plots and NPCs Plots from concept to played, main or side, with authors, and NPCs drawn from your own builders.
  • Plot timeline Plots in lanes per time slot of the event, connected without ever going back in time, updated live for everyone.
  • Write together Write a plot together in real time, with every writer’s cursor in view.
  • Rulebook Chapters and sections with a table of contents and search, published when you say so.

04 / Your voice

Website

A public home that carries your name, not ours.

  • Pages from sections Hero, text, lore, character and deity splashes, member showcases and announcements on a responsive grid.
  • Navigation like this one Your categories become banners with their own colour and backdrop, just like the menu behind the Bannerfold logo.
  • Targeted newsletters Built from sections and sent to a membership year, a role, a crew role or everyone playing one event. Members can reread them online.
  • Shop Products with stock, publish and order windows, offered per event. Posting and handing over are tracked.
  • Dutch and English Every content field in both languages, with /nl and /en addresses.
  • Your own address yourname.bannerfold.eu, or your own domain once its DNS points at us. Your data lives in its own space.

Real software. In production.

Built from the field, not a feature checklist.

  • Its own address: yourname.bannerfold.eu, or your own domain once its DNS points at us.
  • Its own data, kept apart from every other association.

  • Hosting, updates and backups taken care of.

Different worlds. The same home.

Leave the chaos.
Bring your world.
